We're delighted (and a little bit feart) to be reporting that a half hour TV pilot of "Desperate Fishwives" is in development with the BBC. It'll be a combination of much loved stuff from the back catalogue but predominantly material specially written for the goggle-box. Recording is planned for spring 2010, and the hope is that some of the show will be filmed on location in Aberdeenshire's fashionable 'back of beyond'.

The Flying Pigs had the privilege of performing at the Civic Reception to honour Scotland the What?
as they received the Freedom of the City of Aberdeen on 20th April 2008. Given what STW? Means to us, this was probably our career highpoint, even if the delays which inevitably attend such a day did leave us cooped up in close proximity to Steve Rance's feet for longer than is permitted by the Geneva Convention.
