15% of it was very funny. The other 85% was £#@#!$$ hilarious!
Those brave boys and girls on the front-line of local sketch comedy returned for their fourth campaign on the Lemon Tree stage.
Distinguished veterans of such memorable shows as Where Seagulls Dare
and Clockwork Sporran
Flying Pig Productions went over the top again with All Quiet On The Westburn Front
.
Using the traditional Flying Pig artillery of satire, irreverence and local humour, this fast-paced comedy sketch show advanced over enemy lines with all guns blazing...
Having refined our schtick there were no major changes of style for the fourth production, aside from saying farewell to Shirley and welcoming new performer Laura Sinclair. This time sporting costumes of bright green, we put Robbie Shepherd in Stars in their Eyes
, had PC Bobby Constable take the rap for Grampian Police, saw Davie phone a friend and revealed the hidden truth about Genghis Khan and the actor
Peter Mayhew.
Some of our more complicated stage effects were accomplished without a hitch, and audience figures reached a new high. And so we partied!!!!!
This time the party was held in the charming Shore Lane residence of Mr Rance, replete with death trap staircase and comfortable hallway. Invasion by a large number of ladies, on the occasion of Chrissy's hen night, livened up the evening no end. Mr Hardie looked lovely in his purloined wings and fairy wand, shortly before taking advantage of the aforementioned carpet.
